By 5 Magazine

5 Magazine wanted to do something special for their Five Year Anniversary so they decided to create a multimedia project documenting the producers who are making Chicago move NOW, in 2010, with in-depth interviews and features. They also included a track or two from the artists and giving both the music and videos away completely free.

This is our and the contributing artists (multiple Grammy-nominated producers and remixers among them) gift to Chicago, and to DJs and fans around the world. It's a snapshot of the many styles of Chicago House Music in 2010, and a tribute to the producers that make it happen.

Culture Is Your Operating System
By Terence McKenna

From the show "Light of the 3rd Millenium". Pictures are from among various artists like Alex Grey, Mark Henson and google. Music is Murcof.

"...the story of the universe is that information, which I call novelty, is struggling to free itself from habit, which I call entropy... and that this process... is accelerating... It seems as if... the whole cosmos wants to change into information... All points want to become connected... The path of complexity to its goals is through connecting things together... You can imagine that there is an ultimate end-state of that process, it's the moment when every point in the universe is connected to every other point in the universe."

It is time to reconfigure yourself out and "Jack Your Body"! This is literally jacking into your system and temple. We are jacking in and manually reprogramming with the tools that are available to us at any given point in our life. Grant yourself access to create YOU as you wish. Do this by surrendering old methods and techniques along with choosing new options that are available. Empty your cup before filling it back up. This could be reached by whatever way is more in tune with you. Anything that allows you the space to see who you are and accept those aspects of yourself. Using the proper medicine and technique you will be able to align the body and mind thus witnessing what you truly are and what you can be.

By Patricia Diane Cota-Robles

"In the past, our human egos manipulated us into believing that we could change the circumstances of our lives by changing outer appearances. In Truth, outer appearances will only change if we address the CAUSE of the problem. When we deal with just the outer appearance of a situation instead of what is CAUSING the problem, it is like trying to change the reflection in a mirror without changing the object that is causing the reflection in the first place. This is a futile effort, and we will fail every time.

Monumental changes are taking place on Earth, and Humanity is standing at a crossroad. We can choose to remain in the quagmire of our painful human miscreations, or we can cocreate a new CAUSE that will move us forward in the Light. The good news is that this choice is easier than ever before."

By Dr. Brene Brown

Dr. Brene Brown is a researcher professor at the University of Houston, Graduate College of Social Work, where she has spent the past ten years studying a concept that she calls Wholeheartedness, posing the questions: How do we engage in our lives from a place of authenticity and worthiness? How do we cultivate the courage, compassion, and connection that we need to embrace our imperfections and to recognize that we are enough -- that we are worthy of love, belonging and joy? Brene is the author of I Thought It Was Just Me (but it isn't): Telling the Truth About Perfectionism, Inadequacy, and Power (2007) and the forthcoming books, The Gifts of Imperfection (2010) and Wholehearted: Spiritual Adventures in Falling Apart, Growing Up, and Finding Joy (2011).
